Hoop jam Mondays, Tonsley, 7.30 to 8.30PM....
What is a hoop jam?
Firstly, it's fun. You might be the only one there, or there might be people dropping in and out. And a lot of people meet their friends there and have a chat while they are practicing.
Jams usually go for an hour or so, and people do what they want. It's usually a practice or refinement session and people might help each other with a skill on occasion.
If people have booked in for the Come n Try at 7.00 to 7.30, they could come over and join the jammers afterwards.
Hoop dance/choreography students from the 7.30 class..stay around and practice your moves!!! (if you have any energy left..)
What a hoop jam isn't
It's not a lesson.
It's not a time to expect a wide range of hoops to use.
It's not even a time to expect to hear someone else play your favourite music.
A hoop jam is a do your own thing, with your own materials.
Because you never know who might be there, so you have to rely on yourself.
Which is a great way to grow your skills!
If you need to book in a hoop to use, let me know and I'll bring one. I'm happy to help you find the right one to buy. Look at the Buy a Hoop page for ideas on what is immediately available, or plan a design. But do let me know well before 5 pm Monday, because a Hoop Jam is when I get to practice too!
